Sonardyne is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead and oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance across our global operations, including the UK, Brazil, Singapore, and the USA. This role is pivotal in maintaining safety standards, ensuring environmental compliance, and fostering a ‘safety-first’ culture within Sonardyne International Ltd.


Key Responsibilities:

ISO and Certification Management:

  • Maintain and ensure conformance to ISO 45001 certification across all Sonardyne operations.
  • Oversee the management and continual improvement of ISO 14068 carbon neutral certification.

 

Data Management & Carbon Footprint:

  • Collect and analyze energy data for the company’s annual carbon footprint assessment.
  • Maintain and update the Environmental Aspects and Impacts Matrix annually.

 

Collaboration & Stakeholder Liaison:

  • Work closely with Group QHSE to align HSE objectives.
  • Provide practical, hands-on support to management and staff to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with HR, Facilities Management, and Purchasing on HSE-related activities.

 

Risk Assessment & Safety Compliance:

  • Conduct and review Risk Assessments across Sonardyne locations, covering areas such as machinery, noise, CoSHH, and manual handling.
  • Ensure compliance with Radiation Protection and Laser Safety regulations.

 

Communication & HSE Initiatives:

  • Develop and lead HSE communication initiatives to enhance awareness.
  • Establish and manage Health, Safety, Environment, and Energy Teams at all locations.

 

Tracking & Reporting:

  • Maintain a company-wide tracking system for HSE objectives, incident records, audits, and training matrices.
  • Provide regular HSE performance reports for management, from Functional Operations to Board level.

 

Training & Development:

  • Deliver HSE training at all levels, either directly or through external providers.
  • Establish and manage a network of external suppliers for specialist HSE training.

 

Contract & Supplier Management:

  • Provide HSE expertise for vendor questionnaires, RFPs, ITTs, and commercial contracts.
  • Develop HSE plans in collaboration with Engineers and Managers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client HSE representatives during audits and contract discussions.

 

Legislative Compliance:

  • Stay up to date with HSE legislation and ensure Sonardyne’s compliance across all locations.
  • Implement necessary process improvements to maintain full legislative compliance.
