Who are we looking for?
Sonardyne are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive and secure profitable new business in the Special Project Department
Key Responsibilities:
- Sonardyne are on an exciting growth journey within the marine and offshore sectors that covers Oil & Gas, Ocean Science and Offshore Net Zero including Carbon Capture and Storage and the Renewables market and associated applications. Based on an existing and firm foundation of success we are now seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to ensure we move to the next phase of our strategic aims.
- Reporting to the Projects Director, the successful candidate must have the ability to seek, identify and land new custom project opportunities that will take advantage of Sonardyne’s market-leading technologies in subsea wireless communications, monitoring, positioning and imaging and engineering capabilities in the creation of customised products, integrated systems, services and solutions that are tailored to meet specific clients’ needs.
- To achieve this, the candidate must have the ability to develop strategic and trusting relationships with key clients, have a technical understanding of the subsea technology business and its challenges, good interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication, and an aptitude and passion for exploring new project opportunities and solving client problems.
- Ideally our preferred candidate will have at least 10 years of relevant business experience within the offshore industry. A strong commercial background and the ability to collaborate with Sonardyne’s custom projects and engineering teams to turn complex client requirements into comprehensive solution proposals is also highly desirable.
- As part of the business development function the successful candidate will work with BD teams within Sonardyne and all of its sister operating companies, including Chelsea Technologies, EIVA, Forcys, Voyis and Wavefront and to pursue custom subsea solutions, systems and services to our collective clients’ requirements.
