Who are we looking for?

Sonardyne are seeking a proactive and results-driven Global Sales Manager to drive and secure profitable global sales across Sonardyne’s diverse range of products and services, with a particular focus on promoting ADCP solutions. This will involve supporting regional sales teams, managing the reseller network, and executing direct sales initiatives. Ensure the sales process is conducted efficiently, optimizing customer satisfaction, and establishing Sonardyne as the preferred supplier and trusted partner in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong and positive relationships with end-users in order to develop and monitor a knowledgebase of requirements, accessible market estimates and competitors for Sonardyne’s technologies particularly focused on ADCP.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for current and potential clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and support.

Sales Development & Execution

  • Identify, develop potential sales and achieve agreed sales levels of Sonardyne products particularly focused on ADCP to current and new customers across core and non-core markets, utilising innovative sales techniques and in-house technical resources to support and promote successful sales initiatives with agreed plans.
  • Coordinate and manage an efficient sales process from the creation of thorough and effective sales proposals through to successful post-sales support arrangements.
  • Ensure proposals are tenaciously progressed, maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction at all times.

Commercial & Contract Management

  • Responsible for all commercial contract terms and conditions received from customers being thoroughly reviewed to ensure compliance with Sonardyne policies and risk management.
  • Maintain awareness, understanding and compliance with all Sonardyne commercial processes and procedures including authority levels and discount agreements.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Regularly gather and present current status and future trends information, liaising with appropriate Business Development Managers (BDM’s) in order to inform and influence internal strategies including product development, commercial pricing/processes and marketing activities.

Networking & Industry Engagement

  • Develop and maintain a robust network of industry, academic, research, governmental and trade organisation contacts through which to promote the Sonardyne brand, particularly focused on ADCP.
  • Achieve/influence potential product sales and consider joint product/ project partnerships.
  • Participate in scheduled marketing activities, contacts with trade organisations and active participation in industry/market related events including contributing to publications/presentations of conference papers etc.

Reporting & Communication

  • Provide regular comprehensive Sales reports to include: CRM updating of opportunities and contacts, visit reports, monthly activity/forecast analyses and quarterly updates for inclusion in the Sonardyne International Board Meeting pack.
  • Establish strong working relationships with internal staff across the Regions, Engineering, Marketing and Business Development to progress operational sales requirements.
  • Feedback on product performance and application requirements and promote a collaborative working style with timely two-way communication and proactive planning.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of or proven sales experience of ADCP’s.
  • Capability to engage effectively and credibly in technical discussions, debates and activities within chosen markets.
  • Knowledge of Sonardyne technologies (or similar) and market applications.
  • Demonstrated success in global sales, consistently meeting or exceeding targets in demanding environments.
  • Proven sales experience including working with resellers and remote regional sales teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience of contract negotiation.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering impactful technical sales proposals.
  • Experience of successful market analysis.
  • Experience of delivering presentations/papers with confidence and impact

Qualifications:

  • Educated to a minimum HNC/HND level or equivalent qualification in a technical/science discipline

This role specialises in PCB rework / assembly, and to build the full range of Sonardyne’s products within recommended assembly build times and ensuring the highest level of quality standards throughout the production process.

 

  • The ability to read and interpret Engineer drawings
  • Previous manufacturing assembly experience, including soldering and crimping
  • Proven ability to use production equipment i.e. soldering irons, crimps etc
  • IT literate
