Key Responsibilities;

  • Support senior sales staff or account managers by helping with product demonstrations, presentations, and client meetings.
  • Assist in identifying and achieving sales targets for Sonardyne products, working closely with senior sales staff to engage with current and new customers across various markets.
  • Support the coordination and management of the sales process, including the preparation of sales proposals, handling post-sales support, and ensuring communication between the Sales Admin team in Sonardyne Aberdeen and Blackbushe and other departments.
  • Develop an understanding of Sonardyne’s commercial processes and procedures, including authority levels and discount agreements, ensuring compliance in all sales activities.
  • Participate in identifying and developing new sales opportunities within existing and potential customer bases, aligning efforts with Regional Account and Market Development plans.
  • Gather and provide insights on industry trends, competitors, and market activities within the assigned geographic areas, working with Global Business Managers (GBMs) to support company strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts to promote the Sonardyne brand and explore potential sales opportunities, under the guidance of senior sales managers.
  • Prepare and contribute to regular sales reports, including CRM updates, visit reports, and activity forecasts, ensuring accurate and timely communication with UK Head Office and Regional Management.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across the Regions such as Engineering, Marketing, Business Development, Survey Support and Production to progress operational sales requirements, feedback on product performance/new product and application requirements etc. and to promote a collaborative working style with timely two-way communication and proactive planning.

Essential Skills and Experience;

  • Operational experience in Sonardyne’s core markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend and engage credibly in technical discussions.
  • Knowledge of Sonardyne products and market applications.
  • Experience of creating and delivering presentations/papers with confidence and impact.

Desirable Skills and Experience;

  • Sales/target driven experience within challenging environments.
  • Offshore operational survey experience.
  • Commercial acumen and experience of contract negotiation.
  • Familiarity with CRM software.

Essential Qualifications;

  • Educated to a minimum HNC/HND level (or equivalent) qualification in a technical discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Surveying etc.
