About the Role
Are you an experienced Systems Engineer with a passion for innovation and technical excellence? We are looking for a talented individual to take ownership of system development and enhancement, ensuring specification and qualification meet the highest standards. This role involves leading functional software and hardware tests, monitoring system performance, and providing technical support during deployment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and enhance product capabilities for underwater equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead system development, enhancement, and qualification, including functional software and hardware tests.
- Design and integrate complex systems, ensuring seamless functionality and compatibility.
- Monitor system performance and provide technical support during offshore deployment.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, test procedures, and reports.
- Lead comprehensive test programs to ensure system requirements are met and designs are optimized for high-volume manufacturing.
- Create detailed System Engineering and System Test plans to validate designs and confirm system performance in various environments.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing test results, deployment feedback, and performance data to enhance system designs and reliability.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of electronic systems, software, hardware design, and firmware applications.
- Ability to develop control algorithms and automation systems for efficient operation of underwater equipment.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project).
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and decision-making abilities.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of Python, C++, Matlab.
- Familiarity with communication protocols and networks used in underwater environments (e.g., underwater acoustics and cable communication).
- Background in subaquatic engineering.
- Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with teams.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical certification in electronics, IT, or a related discipline.
Desirable:
- MBA or post-graduate degree in Computer Science.
